Hi, I'm Michelle!
I am an Early Childhood Consultant and Trainer and I lead the team at Hourglass Consultancy. We deliver training and support services to the Early Childhood Education & Care Sector and the families who attend their settings.
I’ve been working in early childhood education & care for 21 years as an educator, teacher, director, assessor, manager and consultant.
I’m lucky enough to have spent time in a range of roles including; Consultant with Semann & Slattery, Trainer with Gowrie SA, Director, NCAC Validator, Regional Manager for 90 services in a large organisation and Area Manager.
We are based in South Australia and love to work with people here in SA and interstate.

We are an early childhood education consultancy with a focus on wellbeing, NQF, parenting and leadership. We support and inspire early education service leaders and educators to improve quality, embed critical reflection, enhance team culture and develop leadership.

We are passionate about creating NEW and exciting ways of doing things such as PowerQIPing and Distributed Leadership.
We deliver this support through Professional Development training, coaching and mentoring and face-to-face support including parent courses.
We work with families, educators and leaders to ensure their service is operating in the best way for the whole community and that everyone has the tools they need to support children.
If you follow our socials, you will also see Michelle presenting at conferences, travelling around Australia supporting services with Mock Assessments and hosting special guests in Adelaide.

Your Mock Assessement was so thorough that we had all the compliance areas covered and the ESB weren’t able to find anything we didn’t have done.
