There's More Than One Way: Challenging the Status Quo & Lessons From Mock Assessments

What's harder than coping with change? Inspiring change in a team environment! 

Have you ever heard someone say 'It won't work, we tried it before'? Or... be honest, have you ever said that yourself? What's good to know is that it is absolutely human nature to respond to change or ideas of change in this way. So, how do we create a culture of acceptance of change, open-mindedness and a growth mindset? We will explore this in this session. 

I will share with you examples of practices from my years as a Validator and now as a Consultant. There are some great practices happening in our sector, so why not hear about how to get these going yourself or just extend on what you are already doing. 

Often when discussing ideas with services, people will say 'we aren't allowed', which is a challenge in such a highly regulated sector. So, let's work through some of these questions and how to decide if they are 'allowed'.  

I will walk you through the COMPLIANCE issues I often notice when visiting services and how to overcome and monitor these. 

I'll also share my Team Leader Handbook with you.

We will also introduce the concept of PowerQIPing which is my way of challenging the status quo. 

Recommended for: This session would be great for leaders working in the Early Childhood Sector or Outside School Hours sector.

We will unpack many concepts and I will share some real examples and templates with you.
