About the Event

Doody and Associates WMS and Hourglass Consultancy are excited to announce our new work alliance to support the SA Early Childhood Sector.

To celebrate, we are holding an Early Childhood Sector Q & A Forum:

Wednesday 15th June 2022

at The Highway Hotel 290 Anzac Hwy, Plympton SA 5038

from 9.30 am until 2.30 pm. The forum is suitable for Long Day and OSHC Services. Committee members are welcome to attend

Michelle and Graham will be available to answer your questions on a range of topics like:

  • Industrial Relations
  • Human Resources,
  • Leadership,
  • Service Operations and Regulatory Compliance
  • Learning & Development (what is involved in this process),
  • Attraction and Retention of staff,
  • Setting up IT systems to make your life easier, technology and how to use it. Service Apps (KidXap, Story Park etc), Deputy, Breathe HR
  • Information for your committees, (ACECQA requirements for Approved Providers),
  • Accountability and Duty of Care,
  • Compliance (staffing documents).

ABOUT US.

GRAHAM DOODY

Our director, owner and operator Graham Doody established Doody and Associates in 2013. Doody and Associates WMS are committed to providing advice, support, training, and relevant referralsin relation to Industrial Relations, Human Resource, Management, Recruitment, Compliance, and legal accountability issues in the ECEC Sector.

Graham has more than 20 years of experience as a HR Practitioner working in a range of occupations within state & federal government and private sector. His work in our Sector spans some 10+ years working in the Department for Education and with Network SA until their closure.

Graham has a keen interest in Recruitment, Industrial Relations, Employee Performance Management and managing Employee Behaviour. He has also undertaken tertiary study in Organisational Development (the changes and improvement of the processes and structures that are part of HR's responsibility) and Organisational Behaviour (the behaviour of individuals who constitute the human elements of an organization).

Graham holds Professional status with Australian Human Resources Institute as a Certified Professional Member (CAHRI). Graham is also a Fellow and Certified Practicing Manager (FIML CPMgr.) of the Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders. He holds an Associate membership with Institute of Community Directors Australia (AMICDA).

MICHELLE WALSH

Our director   & owner Michelle Walsh established Hourglass Consultancy to offer training, support and inspiration to the ECEC and OSHC sectors.

Michelle is an Early Childhood Teacher with over 16 years of experience in service Leadership, Senior Management (managing 90 services across 2 states), Teaching, Assessing/Validating & Training, and has worked with organisations including, Semann & Slattery, NCAC, Eduworks, G8 Education and Gowrie.

Michelle works closely with services to offer support in relation to, NQF, Assessment, QIPs, leadership, accountability, team culture, Key Learning Areas/environments, pedagogical practices, learning documentation, relationships and Projects. Michelle holds qualifications in Business Management, Leadership, Teaching and Training.

Michelle has a passion and strength for developing great leaders and accountable teams who are inspired and uses her strong interest in positive psychology to support these approaches through cultural change & wellbeing.
