About the Event

The kitchen is the heart of the Early Learning Community, so we wanted to arrange a special day for you to connect, network, converse and think deeply about your menus, nutrition and your role within the ECEC sector. Join us for 'Food for thought', a unique training event designed to empower cooks and chefs in ECE with the knowledge and skills to nurture children's relationship with food. We will be exploring menu planning, timing of meals, the connection between food and children's behaviour, dietary requirements for children, food allergies and intolerances and alternatives for these as well as what to do if children refuse the meal and SO much more!! I encourage you to book your ticket today and be part of the movement to cultivate healthy eating habits from an early age!

We have arranged a special guest to support us to think about menu planning, nutrition for children and to think about how we can support children’s relationship with food. Michelle will also support us to network and hear from each other. Please bring along your menus and at least one favourite recipe to share.
